Why We Should Eat Organic Food

Eating the right food is a good way to acquire a healthy body but are these foods that we intake chemical-free? Vegetables, fruits, crops, meat and poultry products are the common food supplies we usually purchase from the market which mostly are from the farm. We always presume that foods from the farm are safe and good enough but the truth is most of these farm-produce crops contains pesticide residue. Farmers usually put fertilizers to supplement their crop’s growth and pesticides to eliminate those crop-eating pest. So this means that the foods we buy from the market are not totally safe. Fortunately, there’s an alternative way to avoid these chemical residue from the food that we eat through choosing organic food.

 

A study from different independent health organizations consistently shows that organic food is higher in nutrients, antioxidants and free of neurotoxins and chemicals than the traditional foods. Eating organic food is not only beneficial to our health but also a perfect way to avoid serious diseases such as cancer and other dreadful illnesses caused by harmful chemicals. Another important reason why should we choose organic food is that raising organic plants and crops are environmental friendly. Compare to modern agricultural practices that are destructive to the environment through widespread use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and fertilizers that caused drastic environmental damage in many parts of the world.
