1.Grains – One example is organic brown rice. It is a complex carbohydrate that doesn’t convert to glucose rapidly
2.Legumes - Beans are high in protein and fiber with lower GI (Glycemic Index). They can also be mixed in with veggies or cook as a side dish.
3.Green Veggies - are the kind of foods you can eat every day. Steamed veggies and raw salads are nutritionally beneficial for anyone with diabetes and certainly if you have a low Glycemic Index.
4.Avocado – Avocados have low Glycemic Index and high in Omega 3. It contributes in healing Chronic Inflammation which is often asssociated with Diabetes.
5.Walnuts – Also high in Omega 3 and low in GI levels. You can mix them onto salads or vegetables for a tasty & healthy meal.
